To travail in a place of prayer with the Lord is like a woman in labour when birth pangs or contraction has arrived and she is about to give birth.  Being in labour pains but she has to push persistently persevering in the midst of the pains and unrest experienced.  Her mind is focused on delivering a healthy child until the baby is delivered her mind is not at rest.

James Goll stated seven women in the Bible that travailed to give birth to God’s purpose on a blog post about Prayer that gives birth .  Prayer that gives birth to God’s purpose, vision and plans begins with travail in a place of prayer.

When you come before God to travail with Him you have to keep pressing, keep pushing until you receive results in the spirit realm. In His presence you release yourself  in complete surrender to Him.   You spirit, body and soul unites with Christ through His spirit that lives in you working together to manifest His promises, will and blessings in your life as it is in heaven.  There needs to be a pressing desire for God to manifest His glory through you.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.  21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world John 16:20-21 KJV.

Do not stop until you receive a breakthrough or victories with God.  Jesus emphasized that in labour, there may be tears of sorrow, remembrance of  all the pains you  experienced at that moment but when you receive your breakthrough it is turned to joy and the anguish is forgotten for good because He has made you glad.

To travail in a place of prayer is a time of persistence and perseverance. You travail in a place of prayer with a with a pressing urge to see the end results, God’s heart desire, will, purpose and plan.

When you travail in a place of prayer, you would always come out victorious for who is man that can compete or contend with Him.  Those that travail in their secret place (solitude) of the most high always come  through on the other side strong, with perfect peace and restful minds that their cries, labour pains, birth pangs always results to hearts of rejoicing and thanksgiving that the Lord has granted their hearts desires.
