The King in me

By Ngozi Ngadi

There is a King in me, the One who rules and reigns in me.   I have no power of my own but in Him I live, in Him I move and have my being. For I am His offspring.  He created me in His image and likeness, therefore I am His. His dunamis power has the authority to challenge, encourage, inspire, correct and strengthen me in all that i do.

for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Act 17:28

The King in me is Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Alpha and Omega.  He is the Word of God, my Mediator, Comforter, Counselor and Lover of my soul.  He is the King that has complete authority over my life to rule and reign in me.  He has uninterrupted access to my heart to direct it in the path that He chooses.  All i do is in Him, through Him and for Him.  My life no longer belongs to me for He has complete ownership.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory Colossians 1:27

Come and discover Jesus Christ in surrender and worship, humble yourself in the mighty hands of God for His name to be exalted in your life.  It starts with crucifying yourself with Him, deny yourself and let Christ find His dwelling place in you.  There is a King in you, permit His place in your life, His position of authority to rule and reign.

Today I thought about what to write that would inspire and encourage you to keep pressing forward.  The word that resonated in my heart was “Christ lives in you”.  You can go on living a normal life,  day in day out forgetting that Jesus Christ is alive in you and His demonstrating power is at work in you.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

You are the image and likeness of Christ Jesus, Because you are a living being ( not dead being) in Christ Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit that is at work you within you, your actions, reactions and works should display His empowerment and enablement to fulfil His works on earth as it has already been established in Heaven (Acts 17:28, Matthew 6:10)

“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 2He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:19-21

You in Him (Christ), I (Christ ) in you, what a strong  connecting relationship we have.  It does not end there, it extends to our Heavenly Father, I (Christ ) in My Father, means that Jesus Christ had an intimate relationship with our Father in Heaven that thought Him to be obedient to His Word, even on the cross He was still obedient.  He accomplished all that He was called to do on earth and said “It is finished ” (John 19:28-30 ).  Because of His sacrificial love for you and me.

Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father are one, they work in unity.  The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one that bears witness in Heaven (John 10:30, 1 John 5:7).  The Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we have direct access to our Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and  Standby who guides us in the whole truth received from Heavenly Father (John 16:13).  As Christ lives  in you, the Holy Spirit helps you to walk the journey of faith and perseverance through it all.  For you are not meant to do it alone.

Therefore do not work in your own effort but the with help of the Holy Spirit by His grace, walking in obedience to every instruction revealed to you by our Heavenly Father .

MY PRAYER FOR YOU

I pray that you will come to a solid understanding of the heights and depths of the love of Christ.  His glory shall be unveiled in you so that we might understand His abundant grace.  My He continually empower, enable you to walk in complete obedience by His grace fulfilling all that He has called you to do.  May you have a perfect knowledge and understanding of how to walk in the boldness and authority of His power is at work in you because Christ lives in you.  May you walk from strength to strength, glory to glory and faith to ever increasing faith and grace for grace every step of the way.  Amen

We take the name of Jesus for granted not understanding the power and authority that His name has.   His name Jesus Christ is above any other name.  He is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords,  Alpha and Omega. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain of bondage and receiving your breakthrough.

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11.

As Sons and Daughters who walk in the likeness of Christ and have  inheritances in heavenly places, let us not under value or degrade the name of Jesus.  We are the anointed ones (Christians) who are called out to preach the good news of Jesus Christ our risen Lord and Saviour, impact the lives of those around us so that His light would shine for the world to know that Jesus Christ is Lord.

As Kings, Queens, Royal Priesthoods whom the Lord has given power and authority to pull down and build, destroy and establish His will on earth as it is in Heaven, when you call on the name of Jesus He intervenes on your behalf and brings restoration, transformation and revival.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask  anything in My name, I will do it John 14:13-14

The power in the name Jesus Christ has is beyond human comprehension.  These are four key reasons why His name is so powerful

BREAK EVERY CHAIN

The name of Jesus is so powerful to break every chain of alcohol and drug addiction, depression, stronghold that has hindered you from moving forward or kept you in bondage.  The Lord has given you power and authority to cast out demons, pull down strongholds and command every dead situation back to life. When you call His name mountains move, cast into the sea or are levelled (Mark 11:22-24, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Act 16:25-34, Isaiah 61:1-3).

HEAL THE SICK

By the stripes of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ you are healed, Jesus Christ paid the price on the cross for you and me, we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5, Hebrews 13:8).  When you call His name, sicknesses and diseases has to vacate from your body  .  They have no place to take residence in you because His blood flows through you.  You are a part of Him, you are created in His image and likeness.  The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins, sicknesses and diseases (1 John 1:7)

HEAL THE BROKEN HEARTED

Jesus Christ is ever so loving,  merciful and full of compassion.   The Holy Spirit is our helper, comforter, counsellor, advocate that fills your heart with His overflowing love (John 14:26).  He is the potter and we are the clay (Isaiah 64:8).  He breaks, crushes and remoulds us back to His original plan .  In the midst of your brokenness, He is with you to make you whole again.  So don’t give up on Him . He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.  The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit Psalm 34:18

ANSWERED PRAYERS

The Word of God states whatsoever you ask Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus you shall receive (John 14:13-14, John 16:23-26).  He is our Heavenly Father and we are His children therefore we should lack nothing.  All your needs has been provided on a daily basis as the Lord’s prayer states: gives us our daily bread (Matthew 6:11, 25-34).  Do not worry about tomorrow but take it one day at a time with Jesus, appreciating Him for the little He has done.

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

His name is higher, His name is awesome what a wonderful God we serve, Our Heavenly Father loves us and cares for us dearly, He shields us under the shadow of His wings.  I decree and declare that as you call on the name of Jesus there shall be a full 360 degrees turn around in that problem that never seems to go away.

Living a life of sacrifice is a life of surrendering your all to God.  Redirecting your focus from all about me to all about Him Jesus. It is a life of constant consistent submission to the Most High God acknowledging Him for who He is in your life, all He has done and is doing.  Living a life of sacrifice can be developed to become a gradual way of life in Him through His spirit that lives in you.

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:24-25

From my experiences it is a painful changing process where your spirit, body and soul slowly unites with Him crucifying the flesh, sinful nature on the cross.  As you mature in Christ, the changes starts to manifest from the inside of you, your inner man to the outside of you, your physical body.  You become more of Him and less of you, a reflection of His love through you.   He must increase, but I must decrease John 3:30

Living a life of sacrifice could cost so much but there needs to be a burning passion on the inside of you that stirs your heart to keep pressing on in fulfilling God’s purpose over your life.  The passion to follow Jesus Christ all the way no matter the cost.  His spirit is like a burning fire consuming everything that is not of Him and brightening the light to be more visible so the world would see and know that Jesus Christ is Lord.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light Luke 8:16.

My desire to know Him more has grown more and more deeply, I am more hungrier and thirstier than yesterday to seek His face, show me His ways and instructions.  I keep chasing after Him and doing whatever I have to do enable me enter and remain in His presence.  The more I seek Him the more I find Him, the more I find Him the more I discover more of His grace to carry me through, His love poured into my heart and His truth that straightens my path.

Living a life of sacrifice is a life of worship in service to the Lord.  In everything you do, God takes the first priority because He deserves all the glory, honor and adoration.  You way of life, going to work, spending time with friends and families has to reflect Christ in you.  He cannot be left behind or kept in the middle but must always be at the forefront leading the way, walking along with us during the journey.

Your body is the temple of the Lord.  For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts 17:28  Living a life of sacrifice is an act of obedience to do His perfect will on earth as it is in heaven.

I can’t say that I am perfect in all that I do, but one thing I know is that He is always with me and would never leave me nor forsake me.  Each time I miss it, He corrects me in a loving Fatherly way and guides me in the right path.  My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights Proverbs 3:11-12

You might be feeling discouraged, downhearted, broken and distraught or even suicidal.  Maybe you think there is no God and have disconnected from Him, this has brought you to  a place of frustration, restlessness, hopelessness and depression.  You know what,  all hope is not lost so do not give up on God because Jesus heals the broken hearted and sets the captives free.  There is healing in the name and blood of the Lamb.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

So who is Jesus Christ? Do you really know Him? Because I thought I knew Him perfectly well but everyday I still get to know more about His awesomeness, the power in His name and anointing. Everyday is a new day of submission to my Lord and Savior Jesus learning who He truly is. Also how to walk and work with Him,  until you fully know and understand His true Identity and character of Jesus Christ and He gives you a divine revelatory knowledge of Him as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity, it absolutely impossible to comprehend and embrace that Jesus heals the broken hearted.

WHO IS JESUS

Son of God Jesus Christ came down in human form to suffer the pains and sufferings for our sake.  Heavenly Father sent His beloved Son because of the great love He has for us that those who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life ( John 3:16).

Redeemer: Jesus paid a costly price for our sake that He might redeem us through the power of the blood of the Lamb that was slain.  He was wounded for our transgression, chastised for our sins and by every stripes He took on the cross we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). On His crucifixion death, sicknesses and diseases, all our pains and sufferings was nailed to the cross and on the third day when He resurrected a   Divine Exchange took place to transform lives and restore back our with relationship God through His Son Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit.  As redeemers sickness has no root in our bodies, broken lives are made whole, burdens are taken off our shoulders.
Healer: He is Jehovah Rapha, our Healer and restorer of our soul.  He mends the pieces and binds up our wounds because He is the potter and we are His clay.  If your have been broken, crushed and wounded why don’t you go to the Master Healer, Jesus as He heals your broken hearted
Lover of your soul: He takes us at the apple of His eyes (Zechariah 2:8).  We are precious, honored and loved in His sight (Isaiah 43:4).  He loves to know your thoughts, emotions and every action you take.  So He can direct our footsteps, renew our minds and give us a soft heart (Proverbs 16:9, Ezekiel 11:19, Romans 12:1-2).
He is God, the first and last: When you start with Him, endeavour to see the end of the matter with Him.  Because the end of the matter is better than the beginning.  Behind the scenes He is working it all out for your good because He is God (Hebrews 12:2, Revelation 1:17).
Provider: He is your provider, Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:8).  All your needs have been provided for by your Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus.  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus Philippians 4;19. You need to develop the ability to trust Him in the midst of all the challenges, trials and tribulation you are experiencing (Proverbs 3:5-6).  Despite it all nothing shall separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:34-35).

There is so much to write about but I would like you to pause and think about Christ love for you, that surpasses all understanding.  Take time out to reflect on the things you are grateful to God for and appreciate Him for who He is.

HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR HEALING

1. Surrender: Complete surrender at the foot of the cross, nailing every pains, hurts, brokenness on the cross where Jesus was crucified.  Keep it real with Jesus, expressing your thoughts, feelings remaining in submission to Him.  When you surrender all to Him, you decrease that He may take full possession of your live with the full awareness that its not all about you but all about Him Jesus.  Surrender is an act of worship and reverencing God the author and finisher of your faith

2.  Let it go:  This is the difficult part because sometimes it is difficult to let go of those pains, brokenness caused by those that offended, betrayed, denied, disgraced you.  With Jesus by your side, He will make it easy because He knows what it feels like when He came in human form down to this earth .  Ask Him to teach you how to forgive your offenders, forgive yourself for the guilt and pains you have felt.  Do not carry the burden anymore, lay it the foot of the cross for His yoke is easy and His burdens are light.

3.  Receive healing: When you let go of it all then He starts to work through you in unity with the Holy Spirit that pours His love in you.  You give Him all your burdens, pains, hurts and receive His overflowing love, empowerment to walk in the fullness and righteousness of Christ

4.  Remain in Him: Once you have received your healing, do not go back to your old ways.   Remain in His love and your joy would be complete.  Remain in His word, maturing to be more Christlike.  Spend time in His presence seeking Him wholeheartedly. Your life becomes a living testimony for His name to be glorified in you.

Jesus heals the broken hearted and set the captives free.  It is a journey process that continues as He keeps molding, remolding until your are perfect in Him.  I pray that you would receive your complete healing in Him through Christ Jesus that was crucified on the cross, in the blood of the Lamb that was slain.  May He pour His spirit into your hearts and fill up every emptiness till it overflows in Jesus name. Amen
