Close to God

I wrote this during my moments of spending time in His presence, seeking His face to know more of Him.  You can never get tired of seeking God , Jame 4:8 states draw near to Me (God) and He will draw near to you.   I pray you will be stirred up in your hearts to develop a closer relationship with God.  Releasing yourselves completely to Him and permitting Him to have full control of your life.  The more you spend time in His presence the more you want to know more of who He is, His love, grace and mercies.

From me to You Lord…………………………..

I want to see more of You
Let Your light shine in my heart
Speak to me sweet loving words
I pour my heart to You
In worship and honor of You
The closer I am to You
The more I want to know You
My intimacy with You stirs me up
My passion to serve You
And to fulfill Your purpose in my life

Let every moment of my life be with You
Seeking You always
Very early in the morning as I wake up
And late at night before I go to sleep
As your light shines out
Let Your light be a reflection of Your love

Your awesome mighty power reigns in majesty
Your goodness and mercies endures forever
How great are Your mighty acts
I humble myself before You Lord
Have Your way
Have Your way Lord

The Olympic is now here in London after more than four years of planning and investments.  I spent some time to  ponder on the Olympic Torch carried by the Torchbearers around United Kingdom.  It is a privilege to see the Olympic torch carried by celebrities, young and old people from different works of life.  I was fascinated and  joyous that United Kingdom supported the Olympics with more than 13million people having an opportunity to see the Olympic torch pass by their vicinity over a period of 70days.

While the torch travelled around UK, this reminded me that we are the light of the world.  Our light should shine for the whole world to see.  We are the torchbearers for Christ and it is time to let the world know that Jesus is the way the truth and the life.  The Olympic Torchbearers carried the torch with smiles on their face, boldness and were full of vigor.  We should delight so much joy in sending the message of Christ salvation.  Jesus Christ is alive, preach the good news of Christ redemption and let your light shine that those around would see it.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.   Mathew 5:14-16 NKJV

The Olympic flame keeps burning throughout the celebration of the Olympics celebration till the end of the Olympic games.  The Lord desires that the Holy Spirit burns, keeps burning from everlasting to everlasting and that you never get burnt out or tired to speak of His goodness.  The burning passion should brighten up your lives that others may see the glory of God in you.

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,  Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,  And her salvation as a lamp that burns.  2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory.  You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name. Isaiah 62:1-2 NKJV

The Lord will not rest until He sees His glory fill the earth.  He will not rest until His salvation brightens the whole earth.  We all have responsibilities as christians and believers in the Word to transform lives, from lives to nations, from one nation to another nation and the whole world is transformed.  The unsaved, unreached will see His righteousness and the kings, queens, world leaders would give God the glory.

So let your light shine, be passionate about the God you serve.  Let your smile reflect the beauty of Christ.  Show Christ love to those around you and impact lives in just a little act of love.  Transformation starts with you by being an reflection of Christ image and renewing our mind to the things of God.
