There are times in life when you feel like giving up, you might have tried every possible solution but there seemed to be no hope.  The Doctors  may have written you off and prepared your death certificate without a glimmer of hope.  You have sought for help but no one is interested or willing to render support.  Could it be that you have a court case where your Lawyer cant defend you in court rather encourages you to plead guilty.  All hope is not lost, put your trust in God the author and finisher of your faith

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

It is so easy to loose hope when you keep feeding your mind with the negative, discouraging, faithless words rather than discover what the word of God states over the issue and stand firmly on the Word.  Hope deferred makes the heart sick but when you keep dreams alive of His promises that is full of hope, joy and satisfaction in Him, I can guarantee you that you will never fail.  You shall come out of that situation alive and victorious.

Hope is the mother of faith, faith is built from the foundation of hope.  Faith is established in hope.  Faith starts with hope, without hope you cant have faith.  They are like husband and wife, they connect with one another, they understand one another and cant do without each other.  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Hebrews 11:1

Hope causes you to be highly expectant like a pregnant woman who is excited and looking forward to the safe delivery of her child.  She speaks to the child in her womb, eats the right food and ensures that she attends every hospital appointment.  Similarly be encouraged to see the Doctors report, court case or any other challenges that you are experiencing from His perspective.  When the Doctor says ‘it is over start preparing for your funeral’, you reject and nullify the Doctors  reports  and decree that by His stripes you are healed, you are alive in Christ for He lives in you the hope of glory.

For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18amp

If you have a  court case that you cant find a Solicitor to defend you because it seemingly looks hopeless and you have reached the dead end.  Present your case before the Lord God, your Chief Advocate who is just and righteous.  “Present your case,” says the Lord“Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob. Isaiah 41:21.  He will never fail you, He is forever faithful and triumphantly victorious.  So what are your strong reasons why the case should be be thrown out of court or turned around to your favour, present it before Heavenly Father in boldness and confidence and watch Him perform His might acts.

All hope is not lost, it is not over until the Lord says so.  He is not asleep, His eyes are wide open, He sees and knows it all.  Why worry when you can pray, seeking Him in spirit and truth. And He will surely answer you because He loves you dearly.  It is time to start changing your mindset to rise above your problems and visualise it from His perspective.   Your testimony is here only if you could see it.  The Lord is about to breakthrough supernaturally for you for His name to be glorified.

Faith in God

Faith is a key ingredient for every Christian, therefore it is essential for us to develop our faith through Christ. When you experience trials or are passing through the storm, how do you build up your faith? Firstly it is important to understand the meaning of faith. One of my favorite verses in bible is Hebrews 11:1 : Faith is a substance of things hoped for evidence of things not yet seen.  Faith is standing under the word to expect your expectations. Faith is going beyond your limitations to visualise the expected end. Faith is the making the impossible things possible through Christ Jesus, it is calling those things that do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17). Faith is the currency in the Kingdom of God.

It has been a long journey as a christian discovering my true identity in Christ Jesus and learning how to establish my faith in God. Along the road, I have had to trust God all the way, even when it looks like nothing is happening, I know my God has better plans and purpose in my life (Isaiah 55:8-11). Here are a few points to teach you how to build your faith in God

  • Meditate: Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).  It is very important to meditate on the word of God because it encourages you when you are feeling down and discouraged.  When I feel like life is all over and I have reached the end of the road, I  search, study and meditate on the words in the bible that speaks about healing, peace, joy and so on. This comforts me, stirs up my heart and brings healing to my broken heart (Psalm 34:18).  Or when I am loosing hope in any situation, I remind myself of  the authority I have in Christ then begin to decree and declare a change in that situation.  I eat, drink and sleep the word, it becomes a part of me stored up on the inside ready to burst out anytime fulfilling its purpose upon my life and those around me
  • Believe: Not doubting God and what He can do, has been a learning process for me.  When I look back and remind myself what I had prayed to God for and it came to pass according to His will, my faith in Him increases.  I learn to trust Him more because I know He would do it again and again but it will be done in His own timing and way.  Dwelling in His presence, being in tune with Him to understand His desires has enabled me to know how He works, my heart becomes entwined with His and my spirit becomes united with His spirit then we become one 1 Corinthians 6:17.  Do not be double minded with what the Lord can do in your life, because He a great God and works in mysterious ways.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea   driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways . (James 1:6-8).  Believe God when He says He would do it,  He not a man that would lie or change His mind, when He speaks it will be done  (Numbers 23:19).
  • Fellowship: Fellowshipping with like minded Christians been a great motivation for me.  When I need a friend to talk to, pray with,  I speak to selected friends who have a deep relationship with God.  Trusted friends who are there to encourage you and let you know that you are not alone.  Attending a church that is rooted and grounded in the word is very critical for spiritual growth in the Lord.  Having Pastors, Leaders in the church to guide you especially in stormy seasons of  your life improves your faith in God because you know that there are like minded Christians out there with the love of  Christ to reach out to you and support you.
There is so much more I could speak about but please feel free to comment on what has kept you going in your walk with Christ.  When you face challenges in life, how do you keep standing?  Lets learn to encourage one another in our walk with the Lord.
