I reflected on what to blog on and the theme that dropped on my mind was PERFECT TRUST IN GOD. Trusting God could seem to be like an easy task but in reality, in total honesty do we really trust God all the way? That is a personal question for everyone to answer? In all honesty trusting God depending on the season and times is a challenge to me. It would be encouraging to share my challenges on this journey of my perfect trust in God.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Our thought process is always limited to the physical, visual surrounding or circumstances that never seems to fade away. In the process we try to figure everything out thinking we have a solution to all the problems. Forgetting who God is, His personality and He stands by His Word. It has taken me years of maturity to understand that God is not man but He is God that controls times and seasons. He does not work in my timings so to me it is taking too long but to Him a day in His presence is like a thousand years elsewhere (Psalm 84:10). It only takes one day for God to solve all the problems you are experiencing, turning away your focus from Him. So why don’t you trust Him wholeheartedly.
Trusting God halfheartedly would not work because He is a perfect God and His ways, thoughts and plans are above yours (Isaiah 55:8-9). A halfhearted, quarter-hearted trust in God is false and deceptive. But a wholehearted, perfect, complete trust in Him is what He longs for. This has been my challenge as I journeyed along with Him in a Father Daughter relationship. I cant say that I have fully accomplished perfect trust in God but I believe it is a process and by His grace and faith, I will cross the finish line.
So what have I done to develop my trust in Him? It is a journey, I see my walk with the Lord, my Father and my Friend Jesus as a continuous destiny walk. When I make mistakes or fall, He is always there through the Holy Spirit that lives in me to correct, rebuke, love, encourage and help me. I surrender completely to God for it is not about me but it is all Him Jesus (Jesus 3:30, 1 Peter 5:5-7 ). When you surrender all your problems, casting all your cares to Him, He takes total control and sets a perfect godly order in your life. My life is a living testimony to this and still an ongoing living testimony of what He is about to do in my life.
Spend time studying and meditating on the Word so that the Word can come alive in you. When you spend time in His presence to seek and know His ways and statutes, you will grow to understand His ways and His ways becomes your ways, His thoughts and plans becomes yours. You begin to live a life of seeking after God’s own heart.
When you trust God you walk in His ways and He directs your paths in alignment with His destined plan and purpose for your life. Why don’t you make a fresh start in your life and begin to walk the walk, so your actions speaks louder than your words because His words are solidly established in your heart.
