Love

Heavenly Father I thank You for You are the pillar that holds my life.  I give You all the glory because there is no other God like You.  Though I may be weak I am strong through You.  For greater is He that lives in me than He that lives in the world.  I ask that You continually strengthen me especially during these difficult times when I feel like giving up.  I run to You for help and support for You are the rock of my salvation.  You said nothing is too difficult for You and with You all things are possible so Lord I am standing on those spoken words and continue to decree it into all areas of my life.  For Your word shall not return to You void.  Lord I ask that that You quicken my spirit as I crucify my flesh for the flesh profits nothing (John 6:63). I soak myself in the abundance of Your love, grace and faith, as I continually dwell in Your secret place, the place of rest where I find peace, joy and satisfaction in You.  Through Christ Jesus I pray, Amen

While writing this post, I thought about Christ perfection in our lives.  In Him there are no flaws or stains but He is perfect, complete and white as snow.   His love for you covers all your sins because you are no longer bound by the law  as a child of God redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ our savior   Even though you did not earn it, He paid for it all on the cross. Knowing that He is perfect, through His grace He has made you pure and holy, sanctified through the blood of Jesus.   For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified Hebrews 10:14 NKJV.

Think about  His abundant love for a moment , one thing I struggled with was the inability to receive fully His love for me.  I could not understand why He would love an unforgiving, broken hearted girl like me.  It took me years to work into the fullness of His love and permit Him to pour His overflowing love over me.  Being a lady who has been through a lot of pains, emotional baggage and depression, I found myself in a dilemma knowing fully that He loves me so much to die on the cross for my sins and all my sins are nailed on the cross.

Then He began dealing with every detailed issues in my life and delivered me out of the power of darkness into His marvelous light.  His light began to reflect in every area of my life and I saw a reflection of His love .  This was a breakthrough of divine intervention, healing and complete deliverance for me.  All my fears, worries and doubts were thrown away and His divine, unconditional, overflowing and never ending love came into my life and filled my heart.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love 1 John 4:18 NKJV.  As a Christian who has an intimate relationship with the Lord, it is essential to understand and reflect more on Christ perfect love for you.  No matter what fears (fear of doubts, fear of trust, fear of heights, fear of loss and so on) you are experiencing, Jesus Christ is love, He nailed all your pains, fears and sufferings on the cross so the enemy has no authority whatsoever over your lives.

You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross Colossians 2:13-15 NLT.

Are you passing through any challenge in  life and you are worried about  the fear of the unknown  creeping in or you are gradually loosing faith and trust in the Lord,  I am here to tell you that perfect love casts out all fears.   His grace and love is sufficient enough to carry you through every situation.  If you do not know where to start, I will encourage you to begin by surrendering your all to the Lord, letting go of every situation that seems to be suppressing you and rolling it over to the Lord because His yoke is easy and His burdens are light.  Your debts have  been paid for already on the cross so you don’t have to suffer for your sins.

One morning, I looked into the mirror and thought about the reflection of Christ love in me.  It is my utmost desire and passion to be a reflection of Christ  to those around me and  the world.  To see Christ transformed in me to the  fullness of His perfection.  Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear child. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God Ephesians 5:1-2 NLT.  God created us in His image for His purpose on this earth, that His will be fulfilled in our lives (Genesis 1:27).

This is a reflection of Christ love,  from me to You Lord …………………………………….

When I look in the mirror
Your face is all I see in me
The reflection of Your love
The beauty of Your glory

I look in the mirror
I see You
You in me
How beautiful are You Lord
When You touch my face
The beauty of Your perfection
Your perfection in me

So amazed I am
By Your deep love for me
You love everything about me
The good and the bad

Who can compare to You
Who can match up to Your perfection
Who is greater than You
Who is more powerful than You

The devil sees You and  trembles at Your feet
The enemy hears your voice and they are crushed
All power belongs to You
All glory belongs to You

Now I know who I am in You
Because I have seen You
You in me
The reflection of Your love in me
The image of  Your character in me
Now I can step out in boldness
Because I have You in me

It’s God’s desire for you to live a righteous life and only through His grace that we can attain it.  Psalm 1 gives us some guidelines on reaping the rewards of the righteous one.   How great it is to be blessed, when we have nothing to do with the ungodly.  You do not walk in, nor live in the counsel of the ungodly and  nor stand in the path or even sit  down in the company of the mockers. The amplified specifically breaks the word blessed for a better understanding as to be happy, fortunate, prosperous and enviable.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. Psalm 1:1 amp

There is no one besides Jesus Christ who is pure and holy .  “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool Isaiah 1:18.   We are like filthy rags in His presence.

How do you maintain living a righteous life?

The only way to maintain righteousness  is through Christ our saviour for He is the way, the truth and the life.   “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing John 15:5.   Learn to love one another for Christ is love and know Him in spirit and truth (1 John 4:7-9, John 15:7,9,10).  Set and maintain godly standards that requires renewing your mind to the things of God, meditating on the word and dwelling in His presence (Romans 12:2, Psalm 1:2).  He words becomes  part of you, it remains in you and is like a planted seed that grows and yields fruit.    You need to hear from God for directions and wisdom.  When He gives instructions,  walk in obedience with His love abiding in you.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love 1 John 4:8.

What are the blessings that comes with living a righteous life?

Because we are God’s children you have a covenant with Him.  His promises can never be broken, neither will He change His mind nor lie.  God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19.  Once He has made a promise it will definitely come to pass.  I will be focussing on three key points in Psalm 1:3,6.

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper Psalm 1:3

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish  Psalm 1:6

  1. Fruitfulness: It does not matter what you are going through, He will always be your source of provision.  It does not matter what the economy says whether recession or double deep recession, rain or shine, winter or summer, you shall always bear fruit in and out of season. Because you remained in Him and obeyed His voice, you are blessed in the city, nation and whatever you lay your hands will prosper.
  2.  Satisfaction: Your soul will continually be satisfied because the Lord will keep you permanently at a place of rest and resfreshness (Psalm 63:5). The joy of the Lord will always be your strength and you will experience perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.  Even in the midst of the storm or when you are left with nothing, your mouth will still praise God.  Your lips will be filled with words of expressing His love, gratefulness and thanksgiving.  When it seems like nothing is happening, your trust and dependence will be from Him and your spirit being will be stirred up to worship Him.  He will always make you lie down in green pastures and His rivers of  water  will fill your thirsty spirit, body and soul. The satisfaction comes from within your inner man.
  3. Guidance   He will always watch over you, in your sleep, when you wake up, your going out and your coming in.  He promises never to leave you nor forsake you and He will lead you in the path of righteous (Psalm 23:3).  He will guide every decision you make.   He gives us wisdom to make the right decision and knowledge for better understanding.  It is a blessing to know that our God is there for us in times of troubles, needs, trials and tribulations.
PRAYER
My Lord, the lover of our souls, thank You because You are always there for us even when we have fallen short of Your glory.  Our lips are filled with words of thanksgiving, praises and adoration because You are worthy.  I pray for those in need of Your love, grace, mercies and compassion that You will give them fruitfulness in every area of their lives, satisfaction that surpasses all understanding.  They will know its only You that could have done it.  I pray that You guide and direct their footsteps, be the lamp unto their feet and the light unto their path that will brighten their lives.  I pray that You will give them wisdom and knowledge to make the right decisions.  Through Christ my Lord and Saviour I pray.  Amen

When the Lord breaks you, He remould’s you back to the way He wants you to be. There are challenges in life when God had broken, crushed me to pieces that I felt hopeless and  became a stumbling block.  I felt oh broken me, can I be remolded?

When I lost my dad was one of those moments because He died without me having a chance to say good bye and that was really painful. Also when I was homeless, unemployed and had no where to run to for help, this was frustrating for me but thank God I have come this far moreover going further. These are a few of those times

But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over, Jeremiah 18:4 NLT.

When life’s issues, pains, hurts, disappointments, despair, feeling unloved and all the rest breaks your heart and bones in pieces and leaves you crushed and shattered. The Lord seems so far but He is near. Because He said He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is there to carry your burdens and make it lighter for His yoke is easy. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed Psalm 34:18 NLT  At those point in my life, I did not have a deep relationship with God but now when I pass through challenges it draws me nearer to Him.  I spend more time in His presence and remind myself that the devil meant it for evil but God meant it for good, Genesis 50:20.  My joy remains in Him and not the situation and my eyes becomes so fixed on Him to trust Him and believe that He would make a way where there seemed to be no way.

He brings healing to the broken hearted, it does not matter what you are going through. Allow God to work through you. He knows the end of the matter, even though it might look so disappointing, useless, or fruitless now, God has a greater plan and purpose. All the broken crushed pieces in your life, The Lord is moulding you, removing the bad, rotten and decayed parts, keeps remoulding to bring out the best in you.  He is our potter and we are His clay.  But now, O LORD,   You are our Father;  We are the clay, and You our potter;  And all we are the work of Your hand, Isaiah 64:8 NKJV.   It is not for you to understand how our creator executes the works in your life but trusting in Him, leaning not on your own understanding and allow The Lord to direct your path.

Sometimes He has to stretch you so much that  you feel like breaking, He knows your limits and how much you can bear.  If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure 1 Corinthians  10:12-13 NLT.

The Lord did some work in me and through me, removing the stones, clutters and dirts and still continues because I have not arrived at perfection.  He has healed me and made me whole.   He healed my broken heart and gave me hope for tomorrow.  I would like to briefly share with you some of the steps I took to receive my healing:

  1. Let it go: Surrender all your burdens, emotions, past, bitterness, unforgiveness and problems to God and He will deal with it.  So it is no longer in your hands.  Shake it off.  Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail) Psalm 55:22 Amp.
  2. Permit Him: Allow Him to mend the broken heart because He is your potter and we are the clay, Isaiah 64:8.
  3. Believe : Believe that He can heal you completely because Jesus paid it all on the cross so there is no cause to suffer.  He has redeemed us from all our sins, for more on Christ our redeemer.
  4. Work and Walk with Him:  It is a step by step process and a journey to receiving your complete healing.  It requires an agreement between you and God that He would work it out.  Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 The Message
