Healing

When challenges tries to suppress you especially during the stormy rain or when everything around you is not going as planned, there is the tendency  for you doubt if God really exists, questions your faith and believe in God. Have you found yourself at a crossroad not knowing what to do, where to go and you are stuck in the same position because of your unbelief.

Usually Faith is not the issue but the ability to believe that God is able to do it.  The measure of faith does not matter as the word states that if you have faith as a mustard seed you can move mountain (Matthew 17:20).  It does not matter how small your faith is but a firm conviction in  your heart that He is capable of doing what He has promised.  The disciples could not cast the demon out of the boy because of their unbelief (Matthew 17:14-20)

UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH AND BELIEVE MEANS

Faith  is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not yet seen (Hebrews 11:1).   Faith is visualizing your expectations in the spirit realm and calling it forth into  physical manifestation.

Belief  is the firm, confident assurance and trust in someone or a system.   It can also be defined as the mental acceptance of a conviction in the truth, actuality or validity of something.  Believe  is the verbal term for belief and can be classified as an action word.

When doubts in God’s ability to do what He has  already promised creeps in, then it means your believe  in God is unstable.  A sudden question of  trust, complete dependence on God for support and confidence in Him creates a lingering effect on the ability to believe in God.

It is time to ask Him through the power of the Holy Spirit to help your unbelief.  Your heart’s cry to God should be “Lord help my unbelief ” just as the Father of the boy possessed by the demon asked the Lord in desperation to help his unbelief so that the boy will receive his complete healing (Mark 9:23-24).

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:10-11 NKJV

Believing in the Lord can  be developed through studying the word, spending time in His presence and  in communion with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit .  Most of all praying  and fasting (Matthew 17:21).  Believe is the conviction of the heart to decree/declare and confess with your mouth that no matter what, in the midst of it all I believe that God is able to do just what He said He would do.  Therefore nothing whatsoever should separate you from the love of God, not life or death, not principalities or powers, not in good health or sickness, absolutely nothing shall separate from the love of God (Romans 8:37-39)

Forgive

Father in heaven, we thank You  for Your Son Jesus Christ who was crucified on the cross of Calvary.  We thank You for Your blood that washes away my  sins, purifies my heart and cleanses me from all unrighteousness.  I confess that I am sinner and have  sinned against You,  Father I humble myself before you and surrender my life, all that I am to You.  Forgive me of  all my sins, both the sins of commission and omission.  Teach me how to forgive those that have mocked, persecuted, humiliated and offended me consistently and that have caused me to shut down and placed a stumbling block to my relationship with You.  So that my prayers might be answered as the Word of God says if I have anything against anyone forgive, let go of the issue so that Your Father in Heaven may forgive you.  In Jesus Name Amen.

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26 NKJV

By His stripes

Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace and love.  You are the healer and the restorer of our soul.  I pray for those sick in their bodies that by Your stripes they are healed. Through Your blood, the blood of Jesus that sets us free and heals every sicknesses, diseases and infirmities in their bodies.  Your blood flows through their veins to cleanse, purify and sanctify oh Lord.  Right now I declare complete wholeness both spiritually and physically in Jesus Name.  Thank You Lord for I believe through Christ our Lord that our prayers are answered. Amen

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. 5    But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole Isaiah 53:4-5 amp

When I was a little child, I looked up to my daddy (earthly father) for everything.  When he spoke I believed every word  he said and took him by his words because I knew he would always fulfil all that he had promised me.  He was there when I needed a shoulder to lean on, in my openness I would run to him and pour out my heart to my daddy.  He would lift me up and carry me on his shoulders.  At that point nothing else mattered to me because I was in my daddy’s arms.  His words meant a lot to me, his encouragements, corrections and guidance.

There were times when my daddy made promises but could not fulfil those promises due to circumstances beyond his means. My focus  was not on the circumstance but the broken promises as a little girl growing up. However my Father in heaven stands by every word that proceeds from Him for His words shall not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11).  He watches over his words until it accomplishes its works just as the rain falls down and waters the earth. He is God, He is my Daddy (Heavenly Father) and when He speaks it will happen in His own way and timing.  He does not lie, He does not cheat for He is a God of justice, righteousness and mercy.  “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.  Has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19 NKJV.  He is the creator of the universe, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.  For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast Psalm 33:9 NKJV.

His words are soothing to heal the broken hearted, encourages you to keep standing in the midst of it all.  His shoulders are there for you to cry on.  Every drop of tears that falls from your beautiful face, He holds in a bottle.   You keep track of all my sorrows.  You have collected all my tears in your bottle.  You have recorded each one in your book Psalm 56:8 NLT.  So trust Him at His words and lean not on your own understanding.  He has spoken, He has commanded, He has promised and it came to pass.  His words are spirit and truth.

Sometimes the ups and downs of life can get in the way of your relationship with our Heavenly Father.  There is bills to pay, family responsibilities or emotional stress that tries to press you down.  The burdens you carry can become so heavy to the extent you feel like giving up on life or your mind becomes cluttered with resolutions to the problems you experience.  The Lord wants you to walk and work with Him and learn the unforced rhythm of His grace .  ‘Walk and work with Me’, ‘learn from Me’ and you will find rest.  His yoke is easy and His burdens are light, take His yoke and rest in Him.

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Mathew 11:28-30 Message

On a regular basis, I reexamine myself  to check out where I am with my relationship with the Lord.  During these times I enquire of God with regards to my progress in my walk with Him.  You have searched me, Lord,   and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise;  you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down;  you are familiar with all my ways.  Psalm 139:1-3 NIV  Sometimes it seems like I am far away from Him and other times I feel so close but with the desire to get even closer to Him.  I find myself answering questions, ticking checkboxes of my strength areas and crossing out where I need to work on.  Today there are three questions thrown at you right below, search your hearts, test yourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit .

Do you have a relationship with the Lord?

Trials and tribulations can stand in the way of your relationship with the Lord.  Your eyes can be pinned unto the problems of life and forgetting the God we serve. You can be tired, worn out and burned out on religion that you don’t know what to do.  So if you do not have a relationship with the Lord, He is saying to you ” Come to Me, come to Me you broken one and I will give you rest.  Come to Me you burdened and heavy hearted one and I will make it easy and lighten your burden”.  The Lord wants you to start afresh, if you don’t have a relationship with Him and if you do have one, He wants you to be closer to Him

Have you found rest in Him?

Finding rest in Him is when your mind is renewed, your soul is refreshed, you are not worried about the present, past or future because you know that God will work it out (Psalm 47:10, Psalm 23:1-2).  Whatever happens you still trust God so nothing shall separate you from the love of God(Romans 8:35).  Finding rest is abiding in the secret place of the Most High..  You can only find rest in Him when you have an intimate relationship with God.  Knowing fully well that your can always go to Him and pour your heart out to Him, tell Him where it hurts and He brings healing and restoration.

How do you walk and work with God?

Your walk with the Lord is a journey and along the road He shows you His unforced rhythms of grace, for you can’t do it on your own.  His grace is sufficient to carry you through every challenge you experience.  So when it seems like there is no way and you have come to the end of the road, rest in Him and trust Him to see you through.  The road might seem so rough and bumpy but our Heavenly Father is there to walk with you, teach you the easy, light way and ability to live freely in abundance of His grace through Christ.  Its a process and you have a responsibility to play in working with God and He will work it out.  He will speak to you through the Holy Spirit to encourage, counsel, help and guide you.  You will listen to His voice and obey His instructions.

 Prayer

Lord I pray for those who passing through a difficult season that You will strengthen them and lighten their burdens, for Your yoke is easy and Your burdens are light.  Nothing is too difficult for You, I pray that You will give them peace that surpasses all understanding and they will find rest in You.  Lord let their walk with You be steady and easy, learning the unforced rhythm of grace.  In Jesus Name I pray Amen, Amen and Amen
