Sometimes we allow situations to rule over us while we become their subjects, When you are subjected to a problem or circumstance it takes absolute control over your life, wherever it dictates or directs is where you move or obey. Suddenly it feels as if there is no God and it is over.
I reflected on what to blog on and the theme that dropped on my mind was PERFECT TRUST IN GOD. Trusting God could seem to be like an easy task but in reality, in total honesty do we really trust God all the way?
Last time I published a post on The Power of the Mind and I am progressing from where I stopped onto how the Power of the Mind is used as a weapon of attack.
I thought about what to blog on and I reflected immensely on how the ups and downs of life challenges could hinder us from walking into the fullness of all that He has in store for us. It all starts with our thought process. The enemy has no access whatsoever to what you are thinking about until you speak out then strategies are devised to counteract His purpose driven plans. This is the power of the mind. That is where the battlefield lies.
Satan is very deceptive and manipulative in his ways therefore would try to plant destructive, suicidal, confusing thoughts by making you presume they are your own human thinking. When you act on those processed thoughts that has been planted as a seed by him then you have given the enemy the upper hand.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. Proverbs 23:7
I have grown to discover and utilise my mindset in Christ as a weapon of attack. As I matured in my spiritual walk with the Lord I understood the tactics of the enemy was based on intelligent data information collection. They work as agents of lies, deception, who come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 11:14, Revelation 12:9 ). Ungodly, demonic, toxic thoughts could be sown into your mindset depending on the challenges you experience. You have two choices either to feed those thoughts and permit your pains or trials overcome you or cast them out authoritatively in the name of Jesus then feed your mind with the truth which is the Word of God.
What you feed you mind with based on your five spiritual senses (see, hear, smell, tasted and feel ) determines your consequent reaction (Hebrews 5:14). With your eyes you see visualising the hope of tomorrow; with your ears you hear the Word and mature in faith; with your mind you know for you have the mind of Christ and the heart of the Father; with your heart you believe without a doubt for the manifestation of His promises ( Hebrews 11:1, Romans 10:17, 1 Corinthians 2:16, Romans 10:10 )
It is important to think before you speak because once spoken it cannot be retrieved, the spoken word is sent forth to accomplish that which you assigned it to do. Ask the Holy Spirit to set a watch on your mouth and watch the door of your lips (Psalm 141:3).
The power of the mind is a weapon of attack that the enemy tries to penetrate in other to oppress, obsess, depress, suppress and possess you. The battle starts with the mind and ends with the mind in a place of prayer and deeper intimacy with the Lord
Consequently, watch out for part two of the power of the mind, that emphaises more on the steps to overcoming the enemy using the mind as a weapon of attack. This is discovered in the Word of God from 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. I pray that the Lord renews your mind, giving you a new mindset continually on a daily basis to stand firm in every trials and test of life. Amen

When you find yourself in a tight corner and don’t know the next step to take. When a close friend, loved one, colleague slaps you, curses, intimidates, backbites you, how would you react to the situation. When your marriage is on the brink on breaking down, there is a communication breakdown and it seems to be over. What would you do in such situation? In every circumstance I always ask myself, is this the right thing to do? Are my actions spirit led?
Your actions and reactions to every problems, your day to day way of living has to be in alignment with His ways, thoughts and plans. It is so easy to forget that we walk in the image and likeness of Christ and do what our fleshly desires wants. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His Romans 8:9.
So let the spirit take control, we are a three part being, made of the spirit, soul and body. The soul consist of our mind, will and emotions. The body is our physical body or flesh that you can feel or touch. The body and soul always fights against the spirit. The Word of God clearly states that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in pulling down strongholds and every high thing that raises itself against the knowledge of God (Ephesians 6:12, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
It is our duty to command the soul and body to submit and surrender to the Spirit of the living God. Every fleshly desires that is not in alignment with the Word, nail it to the cross where it remains permanently (Galatians 5:24). Take your stand in faith of who you are in Christ Jesus nullify every thoughts of confusion, depression, oppression, fear, hopelessness, helplessness in the precious name and blood of the Lamb. Acknowledge, invite the Holy Spirit to take total control of your body and soul.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.Romans 8:14
As sons and daughters of the most High King, we have the power and authority to pull down and destroy the works of darkness, build and establish His will, purpose and plans over our lives. Shut down every access to that the enemy has gained to your heart after casting them out into the fiery furnace and permit His presence, more grace, faith, love, hope and empowerment to keep persevering through all your challenges.
The Holy Spirit taking leadership is a journey process that you walk with our Heavenly Father with the help of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the journey can be tough, sometimes it can be rough but having that firm acknowledgement of the Holy Spirit in your hearts guarantees that He is with you, He lives in you and works it out through you. So don’t give up, keep pressing on.
The Holy Spirit is always with you, lives in you and works through you as you permit. Now is the time to work in partnership with Jesus through the help of the Holy Spirit for Father’s purpose to be perfectly established in your life.
